This week, I've been doing pencil drawings of dogs---usually while listening to the news on my computer. Cardigan Corgi, Bloodhound, and Borzoi (Russian Wolfhound). Various graphite pencils on Canson Sketch pad paper. Random on-line photos as reference.
"Lang may yer lum reek (a Hogmanay greeting, implying "May you never be without fuel for your fire!", but more literally translates to "Long may your chimney smoke!")" All this I corrupted and used to inspire me here.
Superstition : Hare.
Two extraordinary beliefs about the hare which are still repeated though no longer held, are that it is so timid that it never closes its eyes, even in sleep; and that once a year the creatures change their sex!

Ending this month saying I believe in #januhairy. I think we should do what we want with our bodies, they’re the only one we’ve got and it’s our body, no one else's. Me, I must admit I have foolish reasons to keep all hair in my body; it’s too damn cold! Yap. That’s it.

Daizies or Snowflakes it's all in your perspective, pen and india ink on paper. am pretty engrossed in this graphic, black and white nature inspired series i began a few weeks ago. There is something very soothing about doing these that leads me to believe this series is far from finished!
