To many I know a hibiscus flower might represent endless tropical summers. Up north where I live, hibiscus is the often the last flower to bloom while fall is setting in. While vibrant, I wanted it to feel lonely as seasonal changes are very introspective times in my life.
This scene was inspired by my walk home from work on Monday evening. The Moon was already high up. The weather was windy. The clouds were passing by fast, giving me a glimpse of the Moon here and there. A pretty ominous scene, if you ask me. Size: 2x2 inches.
I have been teaching myself stippling. This is a work in progress on a birch tree bark. I've always admired birches and have strong childhood connections with them. I am a keeper of some very fond memories of our summer house and three beautiful big birch trees in the yard. I could sit under them for hours: watching the delicate leaves dance in the summer breeze; watching them turn golden during autumn; feeling my way around on their uneven bark full of valleys and crevices.
Malthus appears to be absent of any kind of mercy or remorse, often toying with its victims before attempting to kill them and take their souls. Malthus is also very sadistic, persistent, aggressive, terrifying, and pure evil. Done with lead pencil on 11x17 80ibs strathmore drawing paper. This character is based on demon that came in real life story. In Annabelle comes home movie is where he gets involved the most. A foggy morning opens up to a burnt landscape. I wanted to paint a couple of different environments in one painting but still aim to be refined. I used fall colors and smaller lines.
"She missed her stop". A drawing I did based on a character made on a certain internet forum. This is the first time I used a photograph as an environment for my doodles, and it charmed me enough to want to do more of them.
