A chibi-fied hero of Hyrule! This was the first time using a free art program called Krita. It's a bit different than what I'm used to but has many features and I could get it to do most everything I needed. Unfortunately, the illustration wound up looking washed out and dull so I took to Photoshop to punch up the vibrancy. So, for that reason, I'm not really sure if this is even any good! Seems ok for an experiment, I guess.

I have been wanting to explore the concept of creating a Vitruvian Women. Also felt like I struggled with the composition of the Reflect piece (which I am working on developing a series). Hence trying to learn from the best - in a scientific way:)

This is an old piece created as part of a series of illustrations for a poetry book entitled "Fruit and Bones" by Elizabeth Zimmers (Yon) back in 2002. Had prints made and just found them again - so I added them to my website ~ which is still a work in progress. Please visit and let me know your thoughts! Next is to add more originals and prints. Playing with colored pencils this week. This is very loosely based on a photo....changed hair, eyes, and skin tones to suit my mood. Vintage Conte a Paris Criterium, Prismacolor Verithin, and Tombow Irojiten pencils.
A steam titan from the elder age, long forgotten. But this mammoth of gears and levers has not fogotten it's purpose. It delves through stone, and rock and mineral and earth. It hasn't stopped since the master's last order. The very nature of this machine is loyalty itself. Sometimes the scavengers follow it, picking up the remains it leaves behind in its search. What is it searching for? The center of the Earth? Nirvana? Hell for us ?
Many a strange thing lay in the world of Nornwan. Was it always so? Mayhaps...
