The Mexican wolf (Canis lupus baileyi) is a subspecies of gray wolf once native to southeastern Arizona, southern New Mexico, western Texas and northern Mexico. Its ancestors were likely the first gray wolves to enter North America after the extinction of the Beringian wolf, as indicated by its southern range and basal physical and genetic characteristics. He's a dog, and like all dogs, they're bred from wolves. Given half the chance they'd revert back to their natural pack instinct. The only reason they don't is that they see you as the pack leader who regularly feeds and pampers them.
“Oh, my little darling isn't like that!” I hear you say, as if you're talking about a child. “He gives me kisses by licking my face. It's his way of saying how much he loves me.”
He licks his balls and arsehole with that tongue, so what's he really saying there?

Pierre (from my novel Pierre and the wolves, yes, the pun is on purpose, it even work better in french), while he was searching for the pattern in the werewolf attack he has been a victim of when he was a child.

Hey everyone, sorry for such a long hiatus! The main reason is that I haven't been drawing so I had nothing to post. I also went through a name change, from BurningCinders to Umbra! For this piece, I played around with some new brushes and attempted to play with fog for the first time.
This is one of my first, and best pieces of digital art to-date. I created it using Procreate, inspired by my love of wolves, and Northern landscapes more generally.
