this is a drawing i started awhile ago. while working on it there where moments were i felt sad and it cheered me up.
The giant is inspired of the Forest Giant in the series "Hilda". After i watched the episode i really wanted to draw a giant. Now, some months later i finished the drawing and i had really fun. ☺️

Starting this past winter I began redoing some of my old artwork. This one was painted about 15 years ago--is quite pale. Soon I'll be brightening it, adding more value contrast. After each redo is done, I choose the next. Anyone else out there do redos? I'd love to hear about your experiences.
Situational awareness is important these days. Pre-pandemic, I sometimes take my doodles to coffee shops during my lunch breaks and relax for half an hour or so by mindlessly scribbling/shading with my Bic pen. People usually leave me alone but this drawing made me realise that not everyone wants to see a man drawing a naked man. A few people took exception to my subjects’ lack of clothing and made their displeasure known by telling me. Drew this a few years back... It's pretty self explanatory... What is Fantasy Football? Anything to do w Flying Pigskins? Does the kicker have to kick a field goal through a windmill? I imagine having a Squeaky Clown Nose guard would b fun. My fav team is the browns b/c i support the essential workers & UPS workers rarely get the appreciation they deserve. [What?]
He definitely served in the military, 2 tours, and is always saying things like "you workin' hard, or hardly workin'?". He drinks his cheap grandpa beer in a plain glass and puts salt in it.
Acrylic on Paper. I painted this as an exercise, fully expecting to fail, but walked away with this nifty piece instead. I've recently been growing a lot in my painting ability, and this was a big victory for me.

I feel like I haven't made any actual art in a while, let alone actually said anything about anything. It's been a long week, in both good and bad ways. First off, I was accepted into college, and then (for lack of better words) I accepted my acceptance to that school (I'm officially a Blue Demon!). Gymnastics is shut down, which I feared would happen, due to the rising cases in IL. It'll be closed at least until after the holidays, which scares me, but it is what it is (I wish people would just follow guidelines and wear masks)... I've been frustrated lately, mostly artistically. I go through times where I'm not satisfied with anything, nothing is good enough but all I want to do is create. There are a few larger projects I've been working on in the background, two for school and one personal. The personal one I haven't had much time to work on, but I'm hoping I will over the next few days (since I'm on break.) So yep. Lots of moving parts right now. Anyway, I hope everyone has a safe Thanksgiving!
