Hello, my name is Yod, Yod was born in 1984 and grew up in St. Petersburg, Russia. In 2007 he moved to France, where he began his studies for a BA in Fine Art at EESI, Poitiers. In 2010 he participated in the From Opposite exhibition in the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, where he presented his paintings from the Rectitude series. Since the late 2000’s, Yod has used a varied practice of painting, sculpture, photography and drawing to explore the complex relationship between art, society and humanity. Yod’s work investigates an individual's image, living in the new sociocultural phenomenon—the information society.
