Elias Rosenshaw 8/29/2025 Mixed media on toned tan paper. Starting next week, I'm going back to college. I'm very excited for my courses, especially art & writing. It will be a great opportunity to explore my curiosities, improve my art skills, and grow as a person. I will share my art assignments if my instructors allow it. I would also like to write a little about each piece, which may be required for my assignments anyway. Lately, I've been inspired by fantasy & fairytale artwork. I think fantasy & horror will make good focuses for my pre-BFA portfolio. This was a little experiment with a fairytale aesthetic. One of my goals is to use limited art supply sets & swap out colours as they run out. I feel the first colours I picked out fit with aesthetic well. I'm proud of this drawing, especially the dress & the night sky. However, I can see some areas that I should've done differently. I'm not happy with the proportions & foreshortening of the limbs. Also, I shouldn't have used a background colour for the flowers. I added the colour to cover up a smear from the watercolour. I should avoid making large areas of solid colour, especially with my coloured pencils. I am learning & improving.

I am currently taking an art class in college and for this project I had to create three mockups of what I envision as a nest or home. I decided to do three mock up nests based off of my three favorite places I have lived. The first one is Arizona, then Washington, then Chicago.

I wanted to measure how far I have come. In 2023 I drew Voxs screen, well today I redrew it and got this as a result. I'm not one to feel a sense of pride, but damn I'm feeling proud. I have done a lot of self taught with my art and using Ipad and procreate. I did take a art class in college which was basic sketching. I have watched videos, listened to others and just observed to get where I am. I don't know if my art will take me anywhere. But what I do know is, its my outlet, my vent, my escape.

Done 2000 with oils on illustration board. This was one of my art college in NYC project assignment that i had to do . The theme for the project was "ludicrous" so from there we had to come up with image towards that vocabulary. First I did a thumbnail of woman combined with motorcycle,but my art professor did not approve of it, so I did my second thumbnail which was the image as you see now ,but I originally had painted her face with eyes and the third on her forehead and when I finished the painting . I showed to my other class professor and one professor recommended me that I should pull the skin over her face and get rid of the eyes so thas what I did to finish the piece. When we to show our final piece in the class almost everybody in my class were saying I am crazy in a good way I hope. Later on back in year 2001 one of the art buyer from Yahoo messenger in art chat room we got to talk about art wanted to see my artwork ,so I showed him some of my oil paintings that I did year 2000 for my class in art college he wanted to buy almost all my oil paintings so he bought the one that you see here and rest of my 2 paintings. My name is Jenny Lebedev. I am a multidisciplinary artist and illustrator, Making painting on canvas and digital platform, video, photography, drawing. Graduate of the Department of Multidisciplinary Art at Shenkar. I recently finished illustrating the second children's book. I also accept commission projects and work with the client in close communication. I make digital art work for postcards, prints, incl. producing prints. In the field of art I deal with conceptual art on the topics of "nothingness" and the existing emptiness, awareness of the air. When I was a little girl I was drawing postcards and during holidays I was selling them to the neighbors for half a shekel. At home my family always appreciated my creativity. Because of this when I moved to Israel, I decided on an art degree where I had the freedom to try different kinds of art. I became a painter and my final exhibition at Shenkar College was a plumbing work with sculpture and dio. Nowadays I am more involved in digital painting and specializing mainly in illustration and design. I take my inspiration from nature because it has an amazing integrity. But of course a simple emphasis will make most people notice it better.

I have dragged this typewriter around for more than 50 years. I found it in an antique store when I was in college. It's still fully useable, except that it's REALLY hard to find ribbons. Basically, it's just another object to dust. But it is a beautifully made object. The basic shapes and perspective were blocked in with a 2H pencil, then I used a Sakura 005 micron pen to do the contour drawing.

Drew more head proportions and did a practice run with the proportions of the human body. I remember doing this years ago when I went to community college; it’s been a while so a lot of things that I have to re-learn but ready to learn

Medium : Pen and Ink size : 11'' x 15'' Bristol Board Date : 1993 This study of a piano was done for a woman who was a missionary with her husband. They served in a Christian ministry that reached out to military personal and their families, through the teaching of the Holy Bible and showing hospitality. They have been missionaries most of their lives. I met them while i was a summer missionary the year I was in college. I went back two more summer to help , and they became my friends. The woman is a gifted piano player, so I was asked if i could do an illustration of her piano for her. This couple have inspired me through their dedication of using their lives to serve God through serving others, that many may know God through the teaching, and living out the Word before others.
