Gourd-face started out as a tiny doodle in my sketchbook but I couldn't stop thinking about him. So I drew several gourd-faces. This one has the unfortunate circumstance of growing on his face. Poor Gourdy. I drew him with pencil and then colored on the computer. Cheers!

The logo is for a medical supplies company. I hope you like it. The name of the company is written in English and Arabic at the same time. You can read it from left to right in English, and from right to left in Arabic. I will leave it to you to guess the name of the company. Besides, I also hope that you can find the word in Arabic. I was assigned in art class to draw/paint/whatever something to do with reset... at first I, just like everyone else, pictured a reset button. After some thinking though, I remembered how each time my family moved from state to state, it was like I had a reset button, a fresh new start. Also, haha fun fact, the random sharpie lines were a result from listening to fast pace rock.
I've been getting questions about how I create my art here, so I figured I would upload some progress pieces. Here's the first one! I was listening to the Westworld season 2 soundtrack which always makes me want to draw Harvey (for some reason). I wasn't really practicing anything in particular, just doodling. It was fun to just let my hand wander, though I think the sketch was much better than the inking I did.
Something is brewing in my head and I can't get it to stop. Sooooo, I'm thinking a supernatural feel similar to Gravity Falls. I'm not sure where these two are going, but we doing something.
Then everything started shrinking. Every piece of furniture became elongated and narrow and disappeared towards the ceiling. There was something crawling under the rag rugs in the hall. It was also narrow and thin and wriggled in the middle, sometimes very quickly and sometimes very slowly.

I spent christmas holidays 2015 inking a very small children's book as a present to my friend's kids. About 20 pages or so. Here the main character of the story is tuning the instrument owned by The Strange Animal, with help from The Whistling Compass. A terrible noise from The Magical Forest was disturbing the night sleep of a local king and the problem was solved thanks to our protagonists skills.
This super unflattering self portrait comes with a good reason. I bought a magazine about watercolor painting today, thinking looking at beautiful pictures in bed would calm me down before sleep. Didnt happen! An invitation to a spring-themed contest was announced, putting my brain to work in high speed. After 3 hours i gave up sleeping and started some preparation work. Draping my head in a scarf, filming myself in the worst possible angle and making a rough sketch was first step. Hopefully i can get some sleep now.

This time I designed a logo using a special style of Arabic calligraphy called "Al-Diwani". This style is distinguished by its flexibility and beauty. Besides its capability to represent and any shape that I want using any words; so I can illustrate and draw anything using this style.
A very random doodle I did for warm-up while working on commissions. I don't think it helped much other than working with little line work and stark lighting.
By utilizing the beauty and flexibility of the Kufi writing style, the word "FATMA" is illustrated in a triangular shape. The word is sculpted on wood via simple tools and was colored with pencils and markers. For my beloved Mom.
