I’ve really been enjoying ink lately - whether pen or Micron inks - it’s been a fun style to try. This was interesting, something different to a typical city street view.
This is an adorable picture of a panda giving another panda a giant bouquet of flowers. The drawing was sketched with pencil, outlined with glitter pens, and mostly filled in with brush pens. Some details were filled in with the glitter pens also. Getting the flowers to look nice was not easy, but I think I just got away with it. Hope you enjoy the cute pair.
Spring has sprung and Peter is enjoying the warm weather. How have you been enjoying the break from winter? Any activity suggestions for Peter and his friends? They’re thinking picnics and lawn games...
A little sketch, 3” by 5”, made better with a bit of cheap watercolour paint. I don’t know why, but I like this little scene. It isn’t a terribly brilliant sketch and I didnt paint it with great care, but still, i like it. And in the end, it really doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. If you finish a little piece of art snd can say you like it even weeks and months later, then it is a winner for you.

Really enjoying experimenting with soft pastels. This piece was the first time I used Pastelmat. It's an amazing surface to use with pastels as it takes loads of pastel, the colour stays vibrant, and there's minimal dust

This came about from a doodle. Doodling is a combination of skilled scribbling, mindless direction & abstract tracing. Doodling [For Me] is not sketching someone's portrait or rendering a photo. It's freely skating w a pencil or pen along a drawing surface & searching for discoveries & different unusual paths that some how result in some lovely surprises. So here ye go. I started messing about with line and wash. I really enjoyed the speed and looseness of working on this piece. In hindsight, I'm wondering if it would be worth working on a larger, more considered version as there is quite a lot of nice texture that is missing here. Pen & watercolour on watercolour paper (4x6").

This is my most recent artwork that I completed. Recently I have been enjoying drawing with pen and coloring in with colored pencils. I don't know why, but there is something really relaxing about coloring. Like most of my drawings, this design/idea came to me during a dream I had a few days ago.
Graphite and Watercolor. I enjoy making the splatter watercolor marks and I find myself attempting to add them to drawings that it doesn't really go with. lol oh well.
