This is a pen and watercolour painting done as a proposal for a competition to do a mural painting in a community centre. This was back in the late 90s. I was beaten out by a contemporary artist who painted the wall with four strips of colour, which could have been done in a matter of hours. The community centre was predominantly filled with local kids. I felt so sorry for the kids. Not once did any of them look at the "mural" and when I asked what they thought of the painting on the wall, they said, "What painting?"

About a year and a bit ago, I bought myself a copy of the very first Miffy book by Dick Bruna from Paper Tiger because as I often say, why not? And as many of you know I’m still a big kid at heart, hahaha.
More to the point, the style’s similar to my own and naturally… inspiration intensified today!
Relaxed tension. Two parents at a national chess competition. Their kids squared off at the board, and so did they — one leaning back, shoe propped up, trying for calm; the other sitting stiff, watchful. The game played out in more ways than one.

Super Nationals at the Gaylord—two rivers running through the lobby, actual boats gliding under glass ceilings, a nature center tucked between restaurants. Noise everywhere: kids, clocks, pawns and queens. Yet here, in the middle of it, a pause. A man leans back with the weight of waiting. A woman sits, at ease but still seeking. An empty chair remembers everyone who has rested there. In a place built to dazzle, what lingered with me was not the spectacle, but the silence. To draw is to honor the quiet within the clamor.

When I was a kid, I used to draw nonstop. As I got older, I got harder on myself. Now I only draw when I think I can make something big of whatever I'm doodling. I want to go back to the way I was before,
Only took like 2 hours. Honestly, this is the hardest I have EVER worked on a digital piece. Surprised I even got this finished in one sitting because I have been pretty nauseous today. @Hirsch I hope I didn't mess up qwq. By the way, are we friends? Sorry if I seem weird for a stranger but I just need a quarantine buddy. It's ok if we aren't, I understand, I'm only a random kid on a platform of other strange people, so it's alright indeed. (P.S. I spent christmas holidays 2015 inking a very small children's book as a present to my friend's kids. About 20 pages or so. Here the main character of the story is tuning the instrument owned by The Strange Animal, with help from The Whistling Compass. A terrible noise from The Magical Forest was disturbing the night sleep of a local king and the problem was solved thanks to our protagonists skills.
Another inspired drawing by the national thing of the day, today is Croissant Day. Part of the sandwich bag art I started in 2008 when I began drawing on my kids sandwich bags.
Hey Boos! This is me in kindergarten. I decided to make different eras of my life. Dino Nugget is me in kindergarten (I was misaken for a boy all the time), then there is Princess who is me in 1st and 2nd grade (I was a feral demon in a princess dress what then), then Hoodie Kid (me in 5th and 6th grade), and lastly Bell Bottom who is me in 7th grade (she wont make an appearance until I make a big change in my style cause she's me currently) anyway this is just a little project for fun.

Henry and Lucy caught these fish while fishing with Grandpa. The remarkable natural color—blue-green, gold, orange, violet, and pink—made the catch especially striking. A great subject for a watercolor study of color, texture, transparency, and reflected light.
I want my art to look like a child who has probably killed his parents.
