Recently I saw beautiful Van Gogh exhibition. I really enjoyed movement of his brush and vivid colours. It was more about energy and feelings than realistic details.
I am always gravitating towards realism and always want to spend more and more time perfecting paintings like they are never really finished so this time I decided to challenge myself not to do that.

One day I was flipping through Frrank frazetta art book I had and one of his painting inspired me, so I close the book and started to draw and this image came about. Hello! A long time without seeing each other, right? So, I'm back with some digital drawings, I hope you like it! ;D This piece was done for a challenge of using only the MSPaint color palette.
Acrylic gouache on MDF, approx 4x6". Part of an experiment: what if I painted the inside of a picture frame (ie, the inside of the backing board)? Result: it actually works really well!
