A page from my sketchbook during my Foundation Diploma in Art & Design in London. Diluted ink is a great medium. It always gives this authentic look. I think I used colouring pencils below to give it a strong colourful look. Love this one.

This was inspired by the artwork of AnneliesDraws. She has an amazing skills with gouache and colored pencils. I don't have gouache paints and so I tried making an illustration using my watercolor paints. I tried increasing the opacity of the watercolor to almost the same as of the gouache paints. Hi there, I wanted to uploade this art work as the quarantine quarter submission.. But due to my harsh luck the time was out...and I was late by 2-3mins...I was extremely sad about it but then thought to upload it on my profile only...so this is basically a drawing of me and my family enjoying time in this quarantine period :) and please please please tell any kind of lack in my this drawing... Hello. I am a total beginner when it comes to artwork. This is my very first attempt at creating a road going down an autumn forest with colored pencils. I know I'm not the best artist but I hope to learn more.

Finding out why I wasn't able to properly draw something like this readily in pencil... This sort of styling is better represented in less-detailed styles such as paint, or even using just a marker. Pencils are highly detail-oriented, and... this is the "essence" that I have been trying to present behind the pencil medium...

My mind is on Puna so much lately. I love Hawaii...was born there and rediscovered it as an adult. I stay in Puna area when I go, in little houses I rent, or once, housesitting for a friend. This drawing was made one day when Mom and Dad and I went to Pohoiki to sketch. This little cottage and park is in the path of the flow and may already be gone. You can no longer drive there as the roads have been cut off by the lava flow. My heart goes out to all Hawaii residents dealing with this massive lava flow, and the VOG that goes with it. There might be a few weird reflections in this as I had to take a pic of it on my screen to get a file large enough....I gave the original to a friend who lives near the park.

I had to improvise a bit. I found myself rummaging for colored pencils so I drew my outfit today with the ones I had. Notice that I am painting because I’m out of pencils. My oversized sweatshirt is really a periwinkle blue.
