The European Goldfinch is a striking small finch with a distinctive red face and black-and-white head. Its wings are black with a bright yellow wing bar, while the body is mainly buff or light brown.
During the breeding season, the bill of male and female goldfinches is white, but at other times of the year, it is marked with a black tip.
Female goldfinches are very alike in appearance to males, and visually, it is hard to tell them apart from a distance. At close range, the sexes can be distinguished by the size of the red facial patch, with the females not extending past the eyes as it does in males of the species.
Juvenile goldfinches do not develop adults' red, white and black facial markings until the late summer or autumn after hatching. Until this point, they have streaky buff-brown markings on their heads. Info: Birdfact . com

Additional threats include indirect poisoning at baits set to kill jackals in small-stock farming areas. This species is also recorded in trade in West and Central Africa as this species is used for both traditional medicines and also they are intentionally killed for use in witchcraft. This species is part of the Accipitridae bird family, which diverged from all other species of bird 49.6 million years ago during the Paleogene period. Vultures split from the other genera in this family 12.7 million years ago. This species is highly sensitive to land-use and is concentrated to protected areas. Individuals were marked with patagial (wing) tags in Fouta Djallon vulture sanctuary to monitor movements and for a toxicological assessment of the vulture population of the park. So you remember a couple days ago, when I made that paper doll, and I said I'd post a picture of her in her clothes? Yeah, well, I lied. I made a new OC, and I was just too excited not to post them. Their name is Kawehi (which you might have already guessed from the title) and I would have drawn their dragon, Silver, with them, but I unfortunately can't draw dragons. I drew and inked them on paper and then colored them digitally, since I have a pitifully small selection of markers.

Albarracín, Spain. My first time trying an urban sketching. Although it's only from a reference photo, it's a good way to practice this art technique. Line art and watercolour wash on a watercolour sketchbook. I used a Sakura Micron Pigma 5.
Galacons are these giant space robots, and there's two variants. The Solar Galas are much larger and thinner, and sport huge solar sails like frills along their necks and tails, a few even have sails on their long limbs, somewhat like wings. The Solar Galas are surprisingly passive, despite hosting hundreds of concealed turrets (some with EMP missiles), blue/white laser flames from their mouth cannon, and smaller lasers from the lights down their body and limbs. The Solar Galas can hold fleets of cruisers in their chest-like docking bay, and smaller ships down the rest of its body to the hips. Solar Galas are still dangerous though, as their diet consists of metallic asteroids, and small ships can be mistaken as food. Magma Galas (not featured in drawing) are much more bulky, sporting massive drills on either side of the head, as well as drills instead of front claws. They also have much larger and more powerful lower jaws, also used to tear through planets to eat the cores. Though they're much smaller, most have huge tails to store lava/magma, and most can spew superheated laser-like blasts of white magma from their mouths and tails. Magma Galas also have extremely tough armor all down their body, the largest having plates nearly 80 miles thick. They are hyper aggressive until they find a planet to bore into and slowly devour, however if attacked while feeding they won't hesitate to vaporize their enemy.
I've always loved Hedgehogs ever since Sonic the Hedgehog. Here in Italy there are actually wild hedgehogs, when I found out I had to try and find one. Usually at night if we are driving I will be attentive to find some critters. I've seen crested porcipines, boars, badgers, weasels, owls, eagles, bats, lizards, deer and other things. But for awhile I never saw a hedgehog (one time I thought i did but that doesn't count), but finally about a year ago I finally found one while passing through the country of San Marino (it's in Italy)! It was crossing the road and it was the hugest hedgehog I have ever seen! Thanks be to God! lol. It was about the size of like a big small dog or something, probably about a foot long. So yeah I had to draw one in tribute of my weird obsession to find one, haha.
