Inspired by a photo I took of a walled off area of a lake. It was grass on one side and water on the other. I love using textures from old book paper and the juxtaposition of realism and flat color.

The wind stopped lowing. The water calmed down gradually. The sun was sparkling upon it. It was the last few days of spring.

Had some fun doing some crosshatching. Wanted to see if it would give the trees more texture instead of just leaving it blank.

Hopefully the colors on this one are as bright as they look on my phone! I've been using Pixilart to relax before bed, and it's been a great way to mess around with color and texture.

I feel only positive emotions after drawing this landscape. It's a bit wintery, snowy, and magical. I love the background texture. But I still need to work on the details. Recently, I discovered the miraculous power of gouache. I ordered paints a few days ago (still waiting for the shipment). That's why there are only digital versions for now. I have already purchased a course on the Domestika platform. I'm going to try my skills at traditional painting on paper. It will be a big challenge. I initially wanted to draw a mandala but after outlining the big circles, I thought "why not add some texture?" and there you go. Experimenting with different shapes and shades always pays off.

This spread was unfinished for over a year and I finally got around to completing it. Micron on Molskine sketch grade paper.

I created this canvas with different sizes of triangles . Then I layered them with different textures and color

I was skeptical whether I could get the inner and outershadows of the avocade but I did it. And the texture of the paper helped a lot. Kudos to me!!!

The tiny hex cutouts of this canvas were the inspiration for the turtle, and I chose to put it on a beach as the perfect excuse to have more fun with texture medium! Acrylic on custom 4" x 3.5" hexagon canvas.

It has been a while. I have been working on a project that can't be posted. I decided to try re-doing pictures that I have already posted. This is a re-do of Paul Newman. I wanted to see if I have improved. Drawing consistently now since late November/early December 2020.

I'm playing a lot with the background texture. I'm discovering the power of brushes from Krita Software.  I fell in love with the gouache texture effect.  I like the silhouettes in this illustration, but the leaves could be better. I need to find a good brush for drawing leaves faster and with ease. Or maybe I should try some other techniques? Have a creative time!

Hi, completed in pencil. Softest 4B. Layered technique. Without any use of blending tools. Just the silky smooth pencil in hand bringing out the texture of the 300lb Bristol Vellum.

I changed the composition, types of silhouettes, and background texture a few times. I didn't have any expectations about the finished work. It was a creative flow with many changes. I think the creative process looks like this. Don't be afraid to try. If you make your art digitally, it's simple. You can: - create a new layer, - use shortcut Ctrl+Z. In traditional art, it depends on the art supplies you use. Sometimes you can try more times. Sometimes you need to start again. But any attempt is better than giving up.

Modeled in Maya. Did minor texture work in Photoshop.

This is a 19 in by 24 in oil painting on Bristol paper. I love this piece because of the textures and the bright but muted colors. I did this in 2019 in the spring at the Fashion Institute of Technology. The professor always pronounced "fruit" in a very bazaar way. It was a great class overall.
