Legends and folklore is huge in Game of Thrones book series, one in particular is the legend of ‘Azor Ahai’, the warrior who drove the darkness away with his sword Lightbringer. How he forged the sword to bring the end in darkness was by plunging it into his wife’s heart. her soul and the hot blade created Lightbringer. A new ‘Azor Ahai’ was supposed to come again and many believe it to be either Daenerys Targaryen or Jon Snow.

I think end the end it’s Jon Snow if the prophecies were interpreted this way- the ‘long night’ being Daenerys mad reign. A more detailed explanation can be found on distractify.com!
I often hear music in my dreams. In this case, it was ‘Babylon’ by Oneohtrix Point Never (a.k.a. Daniel Lopatin, for those unaware). I had to respond in the best way possible of course!

The first three Inktobers2021 Procreate. Not sure how well regarded this still is as an event. I know it has gotten a lot of bad press and hubbub, but I'm going to try and stick to it this year.
Situational awareness is important these days. Pre-pandemic, I sometimes take my doodles to coffee shops during my lunch breaks and relax for half an hour or so by mindlessly scribbling/shading with my Bic pen. People usually leave me alone but this drawing made me realise that not everyone wants to see a man drawing a naked man. A few people took exception to my subjects’ lack of clothing and made their displeasure known by telling me. Here's something I drew in 10 minutes this morning. I was on call waiting for work to start and my anxiety went through the roof. Not sure why, but it did. My friend asked me if this sketch was a sound, what would it be? I said static. That's what things feel like most of the time: all-consuming, loud, abrasive static.

The idea for this portrait came to me when I was looking at a packaging of soap - it was very glossy and it looked like it could look like pearls. As well as the soap packaging, I used white ink mixed with acrylic paint (for opacity) on black paper.
One of the most difficult practices is being ready to accept anything and everything that comes, without judgement, staying in the moment with our experience. This is a powerful practice. I tried to express some essence or feeling of it.
