A greeting card painted with watercolor on cardstock. The sun rising in the desert is a colorful place.

Watercolour work of a landscape, of a trip in the mountains

Inspired by the Neo-Classical period, I pushed myself as an artist to portray subjects in an idealistic fashion combining drama and artificial lighting. The subject is my sister who modelled as a reference, enabling me to control the shadowy effect over her face. The dim lighting and dark background resonated with the period style, focusing on the facial parts that are visible. The end result looks like she is emerging from the darkness. A somber atmosphere is illustrated through visual expression. Adding the fast drying oil on the brushes improved the blending of the colours on the canvas which was especially useful when it came to applying strokes on the face smoothly. Through strange realms of odd memory, looking to gift something in eyes beautiful. What is this pain represented? Why these tears emerge? A darkness must always follow.

We all have to start somewhere. Unfortunately the color vibrancy is lost in this picture.

An image in reflection of the following artist stated. In poetic formation, in loud vibrant realms, these silent movements lay at a constant shiver.

Another charcoal on cartridge portrait. The fabulous Evan Peters acting as Tate Langdon in the first season of the hit television series, American Horror Story.

I’m fascinated in how something may make you feel. For instance, I’m deeply moved by images of outer space from the Hubble space telescope, but I do not try to recreate those photographs in my work. What does not exist in those photos, is how they may make us feel. This is why you won’t see any “realism” in my art. When we send astronauts to space, they can discuss factually what is happening, but what truly moves human beings is when astronauts describe how they felt while they were there. So, I choose to express how I feel, as opposed to illustrate what I see.

I love to doodle, if you also love these type of arts hit like.

This piece was an entry for a mystery baby contest on DA, where you design the adult based on the given egg and its I theme. The creature belongs to a made-up species(Byubuu) that the host created. //reuploaded with signature/username//

Now I know how other artists come up with these crazy concepts: they wing it.
