"Chameleon, you're free again, my child." I think using song lyrics may be slightly cheating...but it is quoted text... I feel like I haven't made a 'purposeful' piece in a bit, so this drawing felt even better to make. There have been multiple ups and downs lately. Frustration, self-hate, and anxiety can take many forms, and eventually I lose sight of what they started as. I heard this song for the first time a few months ago and it's really been stuck in my head recently for various reasons. I don't know, sometimes music provides an escape that even art can't.
I wanted to redo a simple drawing from 2011. I found it lying around the piles of paper that I swarmed myself with a decade ago. I like to think I've learned a bit more technique in these past years.
I don’t think it looks exactly like Emilia Clarke/Daenerys Targaryen, but I like the way it came out. The pic isn’t as good as the drawing as the lighting wasn’t great.
Susurration is a favorite word that I share with @ghostkismet and Tiffany Aching.
Just noticed that I misspelled it, but in my defense, I don't think there are enough S's in this word; there should be MORE!

UPDATE: I was working on this illustration a while back, but I had no spare time and had to put it aside. The composition was too busy, but now I think it looks a little better. I made a few major changes, like:
• Made adjustments to light sources
• Created bolder outlines
• Got rid of the Knight reading over the dragon's shoulder
Ye know how it is, a brand new sketchbook and a blank white page, at first it's exciting "what am I going to put in here" but that pristine blank white page keeps staring up at you and you start to think "crap! what am I going to put in here?" So I just doodled and put some thoughts down and doodled around that until the whole page was filled with one big doodle... it broke the silence and started the magic...yeah I said it, super cheesy!
I've been experimenting doodling on fabric with Sharpies an turning that fabric into pencil cases...I'm getting a good response from people so I think I'll get good quality fabric pens and create some unique items with doodles....
For this one, I used the wisp character from the mobile game, "Legendary Game of Heroes". Every time the word 'wisp' is mentioned, I think of this character!
This piece was done in graphite. It took me about 6 hours over the course of a few days. I didn’t love how the rider turned out, but this was my first time drawing a rider so I’m not too upset about it ;) Let me know what you think! Constructive criticism is always appreciated! :)
I was thinking the other day about what got me interested in art and remembered that I used to draw these DBZ characters all the time. (Now not having the time to do much of anything and character drawings are pretty simple) Knowing what I know now I decided to do a quick sketch, mainly because I need to practice my line work.
I was having some creator’s block, so instead of a collage of drawing (you know, besides my phone case being a collage of doodles), I made a collage of objects from my room that I thought described my personality. Comment what kind of personality I have and what object(s) makes you think that!
an art project for the longest time ago. in my sixth grade homeroom, we were asked to visualize our strengths. i think i misunderstood the assignment, because all my classmates just threw a bunch of stock photos onto a slideshow lol
I seen Mr Phil LaMarr wearing a shirt like this, baseball logo parody, it was Luke Skywalker and a probe droid. So, i made this. I think its funny if a little juvenile. Samurai Jack is AWESOME! that show as my thing back in the day.
Watercolour crayon, crayon and fineliner drawing... i like to think everything is connected and feeds off each other, a constant cycle. Im fasinated with plants like the venus fly traps and tried to incorporate into the flower with some snake eyes.
Something I’ve been working on for fun, a project from illustrator Victor Beuren’s Domestika class “Search-And-Find Illustration in Procreate”. One of the rare Singapore-inspired artworks I’ve done, and I don’t think I’ve ever drawn so many human beings in one piece… but challenge accepted!!!

he was worried about what they will think. of course his friends love the new song and he feels so supported.

I have given my students the problem of creating 100 self portraits in 20 days on 5x7 in paper. The challenge is to create something other than an image that depicts a 'dead-pan' stare. When the brain is given a problem, it goes to work immediartely to solve that problem. I have seen some wonderful solutions. This is a tall order for teens who are sensative to judgment and still developing in thier perception. It has generated wonderful discussions of self-awareness, world view, and judgment. Those who engage in the exercise in an authentic manner have only good things to say about the experience. It is not an exercise for everyone. We are on a journey. Be Bold! Be Honest! Keep thinking about a story about Kismet (one of my cats) and Rocky (a friends dog I just met). I don’t know what they would both do in it, but there would be much shivering and tail wagging.
