Posted the sketch of this earlier, but I thought the ink looked nicer, so here you are! I love dragonflies. Deadly hunters, slaughtering their prey without mercy, yet beguiling enough to somehow convince humans they are harmless as butterflies. They have their own sort of deadly, sleek beauty.

Trying to make sharp shadows without having everything blend toghether. My goal is to convey the warm, pinkish sunlight on the first day of spring, and light is not something i have given enough care to earlier. Removing colors from a photography is an effective way to get an idea of how sharp shadows actually are!

Another inktober2020 drawing combining 6 rodent 7 fancy and 8 teeth. Lumin, A blue blooded vampire of mine, apparently does not enjoy his furry visitor arriving without a proper invitation. I tried experimenting with a low single point perspective for this piece and I think It turned well, except for maybe the thumb I forgot was a thumb midway through drawing.

An article/rant/annotation to an illustration. A #Hackney bar and its flies. This picture is not as sad and blue as it might at first seem, I promise. It is early in the week and the pub becomes the territory of the most outspoken drinkers. Raised somewhere between Churchill and Harold MacMillan, a night such as this is time for them to spin out a yarn of nostalgic fantasy. Encouraged by the lack of a crowd and with space to fill, statements start to fly. In the opening rounds the barman athletically hits back with factual blocks and reality-check haymakers; statistics and personal experiences are given. Two histories cross examined, one where 1982 means Thatcher and the Falklands, the other renders Reagan and the AIDS crisis. Stoicism and national pride vs mental health and realism. In the latter rounds the barman is fatigued, swaying on the backbar, glasses begin to stack up as form begins to drop. The older men seem stronger than ever. The barflies come in close now, they scrutinise his generations work ethic and make wild political comments on poverty, immigrants and the minimum wage. The barman is close to sheer bloody despair, he maintains his defence and focuses on breathing while maintaining his professional stance. But at the end of the night the barman knows HE will ring that bell, they will politely leave and they will return again in a week and maybe, just maybe there will be a change, common ground or maybe at least polite silence. But what these interactions have given despite the salt in the eye is community and an exchange between generations, culture and class of those participating. No home is ever straight forward, no relative without their good and bad traits and in a world where we often slide into echo chambers online or in our physical environments, the pub is still a place where society is family, face to face, pint to pint. Or maybe it's just a room with alcohol on tap?

I painted this illustration to publicly proclaim the biblical account of a six (literal) days creation by the Holy Trinity to be the true account of the origin of all things that have been, are now, and will exist. I believe the evolution theories have many holes in them and lack sound evidence to declare evolution as the true account of the origin of all matter. I believe schools should teach both theories, and let the student decide which is truth for themselves. The three figures of light that are holding the hourglass represent the Trinity—the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit—Who together created all things. The background of the painting is supposed to illustrate that the Trinity created all things from nothing. The hourglass is supposed to appear to be made of pure gold, representing a creation without corruption and decay, which would later be part of the curse the creation would be subjected to because of man’s sin. The top and bottom bases of the hourglass have the icon of the moon and sun six times to represent the six days of creation. The six spheres floating inside the hourglass represent the six (literal) days and what was created on each day. The first day, God separated the darkness from the light. This sphere is placed at the bottom of the hourglass because sand in an hourglass always flows down. The second day, God separated the sky from the sea. This is represented in the sphere located at the bottom right of the hourglass. The third day, God separated the land from the waters, represented in the top half of the sphere. The bottom part represents the plant life that was created on the same day. The fourth day, God created outer space: every star and planet. God mentions the sun was created to light the earth by day and the moon to light the earth by night. This is represented in the sphere located at the top middle of the hourglass. 1514 The fifth day, God created the creatures of the air and the creatures of the water. This is represented in the sphere located in the top right of the hourglass. The sixth day, God created both the land creatures and man. This sphere is located in the top left of the hourglass. I got out of my comfort zone and tried painting a watercolor without an ink drawing underneath - just pencil lines.

While working at the GCPD, they haven't really communicated. Or rather, they haven't communicated at all - Edward was courting Kristen Kringle, and if they crossed paths, it was limited to simple "hi-bye." But Amber was starting her "career" as an informant and tried to pay attention to her colleagues, especially if they stood out in some way. And Edward stood out. Not only with his brilliant mind, but also with his good manners, determination, and gentlemanly treatment of women. Therefore, Amber had him in good standing - which, in the context of her character, is a great compliment. But she did not seek friendship or any connection with him, being too busy with her ambitions. But they really got to know each other many years later, when he became the Riddler, and she became the Stalker. She, as always in all her versions, became obsessed with a new, interesting person, like a fan of a character, and wanted to become closer to them. This time, that person was him. She even felt strangely shy about going and confessing her interest to her former colleague. But nevertheless, everything was as usual - Amber, who rarely feels strong emotions, always tries not to miss the opportunity to satisfy her loneliness and sparked passion for someone with this strange agreement: she offers free information to her obsessions in exchange for their company and their personal information (like what subject they liked in school, how they prefer to court their love interest, nothing that could compromise them (She can find it on her own). She also does not enter into sexual relations with them, even if they are not against it). Having lived in the illusion of being showered with their attention, she eventually gets tired of them and silently moves on, ghosting them unless they do something that returns her interest (after all, having free info is worth "forgiving" her for moving on on them). This time, everything was the same. But the Riddler would not be the Riddler if he left her strange puzzle unsolved. Not that previous obsessions all let her go without questions, but they were not the Riddler. And everything became complicated...

This oil painting was , for me, an explosion of a new freedom I found after finally getting a home nearly 40 years ago, a room with a sink and a bed and a window. I hadn't painted for years, and never without extreme self-consciousness. But years of homelessness changed me and my appreciation of "art". That freedom eludes me these days, that 'ignorant' notion that I can do whatever comes to me. I'd love to get it back. Surely it's in us all. It may be better to paint to be satisfied than to paint to satisfy...

Behind the Russian Church there is an abyss. The moss and the rubbish are slippery and jagged old tins glitter at the bottom. For hundreds of years they have piled up higher and higher against a long dark-red house without windows. The red house crawls round the rock and it is very significant that it has no windows. Behind the house is the harbour, a silent harbour with no boats in it. The little wooden door in the rock below the church is always locked. Hold your breath when you run past it, I told Poyu. Otherwise Putrefaction will come out and catch you. Poyu always has a cold. He can play the piano and holds his hands in front of him as if he were afraid of being attacked or was apologizing to someone. I was born into a family of architects and artists, painting and a passion for art have fascinated me all my life, I started with black and white graphics like a forest of books and slowly rolled into color painting. The creation of all work makes me alive - I feel, I think, I understand. I believe that art is a way of life. I Want to bring it to as many people as possible in order to make our world a better place. Here are two of my paintings that are some sort of combination of graphics and color.
