Recently rode my first (as an adult) Full Mile Without Stopping and dang it feels good

I wanted to challenge myself with a different type of drawing without spending too much time on it. I am pretty satisfied with the results. It came out looking a lot more disgusting than I intended but it still works. lol Done in Graphite and Watercolor.

This started as some scribbling with Inktense pencils on large plain drawing paper. Then I was done, I wanted to wet the the drawing to release the "ink," but I found that the paper would not take water without drastic buckling. So, it remains a drawing rather than becoming a painting.

Joseph Cornell (1903–1972) Cornell worked nights at the kitchen table, sorting and assembling materials for his boxes. It was not easy going. Some nights he felt too fatigued from his day job to concentrate on his art and would sit up reading instead, switching on the oven for warmth. In the mornings, his quarrelsome mother would scold him about the mess he’d left at the kitchen table; without a proper workroom, Cornell was forced to store his growing collection of magazine clippings and dime-store baubles out in the garage. This is a little practice run with faces, all drawn from my head without sketching in pencil first.

In an attempt to be much more consistent with my drawing practice (and to tackle my insecurities about showing people my drawings) I am hoping that posting some of my sketches online will help keep me accountable. So day 1 sketch, I managed to find a very cheap used college set of Rotring Rapidograph pens online, when they arrived today I was delighted to see that they had NEVER been used! After a bit of a happy dance I got a couple of the pens assembled and started to figure out how they work. This is a quick sketch on tracing paper not that I was tracing anything I just need to invest in better paper with less tooth to be able to use these pens without having ink flow issues.

I hope that in the future we will forget about circus with animals

Posted the sketch of this earlier, but I thought the ink looked nicer, so here you are! I love dragonflies. Deadly hunters, slaughtering their prey without mercy, yet beguiling enough to somehow convince humans they are harmless as butterflies. They have their own sort of deadly, sleek beauty.

Another inktober2020 drawing combining 6 rodent 7 fancy and 8 teeth. Lumin, A blue blooded vampire of mine, apparently does not enjoy his furry visitor arriving without a proper invitation. I tried experimenting with a low single point perspective for this piece and I think It turned well, except for maybe the thumb I forgot was a thumb midway through drawing.

The little bluebird, restless artist, Flew over the orange horizon without restraint. With his box full of colored pencils, He thought he could paint the sky in an instant, of course! But too many pencils and too few wings, Unbalanced the poor little bird. So many colors, no coordination, His creative disaster fell to the ground! Orange, yellow and red pencils shattered, While the little blue bird fell in tears. His celestial dream turned into a nightmare... Until he saw - a rainbow formed! From sadness, joy overflowed, In that magical moment he understood: It doesn't matter the skill or the tools, Art comes from the heart, even if messy!

Title: Windows to the Soul Medium: Ink on sketch Book Paper Size: 10” X 14” Year: 01/09/2020 This Illustration is a pulmonary design/study for a future painting. Theme was born from a poem I wrote a couple years ago, by the same title. The main massage is that Christians are to be windows that Jesus Christs can shine His light of, Love, truth, mercy, salvation, hope, new life, in to a darkened world by the power of sin. The power of sin is what subjects all creation under destruction, suffer, death, decay. The Devil, and countless fallen angel use these tools to destroy the human race. Christians Have victory, through faith in Christ, from being a salves to sin, they have obtain adoption into God’s family, and removed from the coming damnation that is for the rebellious angels and the humans. Christian still are still temped to commit sin, and still make bad choices. Christian’s sin, hinder their effectiveness to be a witnesses for God’s kingdom, their short comings are like black drapes, that hang in a widow, that hinder the sunlight from brightening and warming a dark cold room. The massage communicated by symbolism The stair well leading down with the railing around it: The railing: The 3 petal flower is a Keltic symbol for the trinity of God. The railing around the stair well: Represents, God’s desire that none should perish but to repent. It also represents that people go to hell by their own choice, through their deliberate rebellious living against God. No ne accidently end up on the wrong side of the railroad tracks. The Stairs going down: Represents sinful humanity that is separated from a holy God. Without a spiritual intervention, we all have one destination that is the lake of fire, which is the finale judgement for sin. The open glass pane door: Represents God wants humanity to except his invitation to commune with Him, receive the new life He offers to provide for them. The stair case without railings: Represents the path to TheHeaven, which must me travailed by faith. The partly open drapes hanging in the Picture widow. Represent sin that try to prevent the light of truth to penetrate the darkness of deception. The railing with the fishes and crosses: This represent the Heavenly destination of Christian. It also stand for Christian being God’s Life guard. While living in the world, their mission is to take the salvation message into all the world. The second Floor open door, the entrance filled with light: This represents the entrance to Heaven. The globe sculpture represents a world needing to be repossessed, from the power of the curse of sin. By the hand of God, it will made new, absent of rebellious angel and humans. Pencil crayon and black fine tip marker. A scribbling job of an art piece. Done fast with colour applied intuitively and without planning.

This would be incomplete without the final piece. Don’t mind the caption, it’s not supposed to make any sense.

A reminder to myself: On rough days when I feel lost, rudderless, overwhelmed or without direction, I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through tough times is 100% so far. And that’s pretty darn good in the scheme of things.

I wanted to draw Ash but without his bat features. Ash takes on bat like features in his orignal concept. I will be keeping those features, because I like how it looks. Every color I used in this picture was used for a reason. I had to do some research, so the colors would reflect is personality and his role he plays within the world in which I created him in. Colors with purpose: -Purple -Green -Red -Orange

I have another version without the galaxy hair, I'll probably post it tomorrow.

Trying to make sharp shadows without having everything blend toghether. My goal is to convey the warm, pinkish sunlight on the first day of spring, and light is not something i have given enough care to earlier. Removing colors from a photography is an effective way to get an idea of how sharp shadows actually are!
