Continuing to look at the mysteries of plants used as bush medicine by Indigenous people in the East Kimberley of Western Australia. These two plants are common throughout the area. The one on the left is used for colds and the right for soap. How many of us would know what to look for?
You know when you start a picture, get sick long enough to get out of the flow and it now feels like an never ending project? Im so done with this one, it doesent help how many flaws im gonna spot when i get better, im SO DONE! If anyone wonder about the motive, its about making sure cinderella dont get poisoned before her wedding. All the paintings done in this style is gonna be about keeping cinderella alive.
This sketchbook spread features a stylized pattern of colorful poppy flowers. The garden of flowers includes leaves of green, yellow and peach. The flowers are yellow with blue stems. The drawing as a whole has a whimsical and playful feel with a bright color scheme, polka dots and organic squiggle shapes, and blobs of seemingly random colors. Have been so sick lately, wish i could explain to my body what a waste of time that is. Luckily i have friends checking up on me, and they brought me all sorts of nice things: orange juice, flowers, chocolate, the largest banana i ever seen.... and then i realized i live in a city, and food delievery is an option! So four times i got the most delicious junk delivered to my door.
Sketched while watching the Mariners get knocked out of playoff contention. Colored on the computer. I did a hue changing little animation with it if you check my Instagram. :)
Painting of California coastline. Painted this while I was still learning how to mix watercolors and the amount of water I used etc. but I still liked how this turned out!

Inspired by Sara Berrenson and her book on how to Watercolor Flowers.
This painting was done with the Tuscan style in mind. The Tuscan style favors a rustic look. To me this never goes out of style because it’s as if the new and the old have found a common medium and have agreed to blend so well. There’s plenty of green, beautiful grass. The windows are complimented by the various colors of flowers that are perfectly placed below them. I love how there’s a table set outside of the building with a string of lights (even more beautiful at night) for people to enjoy the scenery as they eat some tasty, authentic Italian cuisines. There’s a group of people walking past the wall of yellow flowers and vines on the way to the inside of the building. In this scene, the ladies are wearing some long, beautiful dresses with gentlemen by their side to accompany them. This gives the impression that this group is out to have a good time. The white birds tops it off in this painting by giving it an inviting feel...”a moment to remember” feeling.
About once a year I set aside a page in my sketchbook, or bullet journal, to do a marker test. I go through every pen I own including Sharpies, highlighters, Bic Permanent Markers, Crayola markers, Stabilo pens, Expo dry erase markers and everything in between. I document the quality and determine whether to keep or toss the utensil. I find it’s easy to collect art materials, especially when you’re like me and switch mediums regularly. It’s important to know that when I reach for a certain pen or marker, it’s going to work the way I want it to. I do keep a page at the back of my sketchbook open for testing mediums, but it’s an important part of the process of creating art to go with the flow and just draw.
This colorful painting was created using gouache paint to give an illustrative design feel. The subject is a cow painted using non-local colors like pink and violet, contrasting the orange sky background. I started drawing again in covid and I created a mini challenge with my friends where I'll create one drawing based off one word of their choice. Today's word is "Lift".
Twizzy loves all things yellow. Cause it feel like the sun and is always bright. Speaking of which , she also likes flowers. Her faves are sunflowers, marigolds, buttercups, tulips, etc.
