This was the first ever attempt at a pet portrait. A friend brought over a few canvases and I broke out my paints and just started having a go at it. Turned out better than I thought!
For our 10th anniversary this past Monday, we went on a hike at Land's End. It was cold and blustery! Got a quick sketch in from the labyrinth. Rain lines added as it started to rain by my son.
This image illustrates a Chinese fairy-tale from the 6th Century. Girl Weaver neglects her heavenly duties to spend her life on earth with the Goat Herd, this invokes the wrath of her family who force them to live apart. They are brought together for one day a year when a flock of tender-hearted magpies form a bridge to reunite them. This legend is still celebrated in China on the 7th night of the 7th month with a summer festival full of symbolism for newly-wed couples.
Hi there, I wanted to uploade this art work as the quarantine quarter submission.. But due to my harsh luck the time was out...and I was late by 2-3mins...I was extremely sad about it but then thought to upload it on my profile only...so this is basically a drawing of me and my family enjoying time in this quarantine period :) and please please please tell any kind of lack in my this drawing... I realized lately that I need to practice more instead of focussing too much on new ideas. So I started with face-practicing since I enjoy that the most. Thank you very much for looking at my drawing!
I was inspired by Picasso's idea of multiple perspectives so I thought, well, what if I did that with a horse? I started sketching immediately and I unknowingly drew an optical illusion! Take a look...can you see both of the horses?
May 2019 was a month that I focused on collaging my own handmade paper together to create illustrations. I also started trying out gouache, to mixed results. It's a skill I intend to learn!

I started keeping a Route 66 Journal when I traveled from Chicago to Albuquerque. I keep adding to it all along and hope to go from Albuquerque to LA this fall.
I've started a series in my sketchbook...actually, it's a series inside of a series. The series started as an idea I called "The Hidden Octopus". It's an Instagram account where I post quirky little ideas I draw with my Sharpie and the watercolor it to make it pretty. Then I thought I'd start a series inside of that where I do Song Lyrics that I really like. This is one of the first in that series.
